Cape Coral Caring Center Volunteer Testimonials
"Serving those in our community in need can be as rewarding to me, the volunteer, as it is to those we serve. We do make a difference in peoples lives." Fred Mohr
"I started as a volunteer at the Cape Coral Caring Center in 1992. A friend told me they needed someone to “follow up” on people who had come in for help to see how they were doing.I had worked with low income in New York and had time at home to make phone calls. Later I became an intake worker at the office. I find great satisfaction in steering someone toward help with a problem and knowing that there will be food on their table for their family. I count my blessings that I am not in their circumstance and pray they will find a better way in the future. A bag of groceries can be a leg up on the ladder out of some difficult situations." Anne McDonough
"I have been a Cape Coral resident for 24 years. After retiring from healthcare management I was seeking an organization where I could give back to the community. Eventually I was led to the Cape Coral Caring Center and began volunteering here in 1995. It was an honor to have been asked to serve as a board member and the experience has been insightful yet always providing additional blessings in my life. I find giving of my time to the Caring Center very rewarding and worthwhile." Chris Fischer
